Yeah, it really dropped from yesterday. Looked like waves for a N.S.S.A. contest.

I hear ya Crab! Taj Burrow surfed at my local break and although it wasn't small, it was cool to see how he surfed my local spot. It is pretty cool to see how well those guys can link turns together on some pretty dismal waves.

I always thought the World Champ should be able to rip in all sorts of different conditions. I don't mind watching the top pro's destroy small waves. In person, it is especially amazing. If the whole tour were beachbreaks with good beach venues, however, that would be ridiculous with all the epic waves on the planet.

With the Billabong Pro going on, I know there is always complaints about the waves in Brazil. Like a lot of events, you can't hold a contest in a spot with no parking, no room for a crowd, and of course the massive structures that these events operate out of.

I always liked surfing around Posto Nove and there are loads of other spots too...with no proper parking, etc. I posted this up about the subject and showed one day at this spot which is pretty close to Arpoador. I was walking it the whole time.

Posto Nove gets a lot bigger and heavier too. Spongers love the place but it is very surfable.
