G'day 33rds, I'm from Cronulla but when dad passed away mum pulled up stumps and built on our block of land at Bonny Hills. A mate had the opportunity to take a lease on a brand new tavern there and hired me to run the place. I lived in Bonnies and Lake Cathie for several years where Red was my next door neighbour and he trained with his brother Kyle, Mick and Dazza and the Huddos-Wayne and Grant, it was a little crew that pushed each other.
I've since bumped into Red on the Goldy, he's a character to say the least.

Never surfed against him Sharkies. I think he had a few years on me and was in a different division for the few comps I saw him at. I've seen him surf and surfed against his brother though.
Are you from the Port area too? I grew up in Crescent so I only saw the Symes/O'Raff guys when we did a trip down the coast.

Ha, I surfed against Raf when he was a junior (and was humiliated). He rips. I agree that it's good to see him back.

Swell should be up for Pipe tomorrow...

raff also has a start in the Quik Pro - Snapper trials so could see him back in a World Tour rashie sooner rather than later
