I just need ideas because the way the site is programmed, it will be difficult to score without having lots of ties and low scores...definitely not opposed to it...if I can make it good, I will!

6 Star PRIME - Oct 19-24(tent) - Santa Cruz,California-USA - O'Neill Coldwater Classic Santa Cruz
6 Star PRIME - Oct 27-Nov 1 - Mobile,S. Juan,Lanzarote-Canaries - Islas Canarias Santa Pro

I SO agree Myles Padaca Won a 1 star in Solid 6-10 ft SUNSET . For the prize they washed his car. and got 10 ASP points. That and his Foodland rewards card gets him $1 off beer.

ASP Men's One Rankings.....F#@ked? Post date: 02/08/2010 10:49:13 AM

So let me get this straight. For winning a 6* event, Heitor Alves gets 3000 pts towards his One World Ranking. For winning a 6*PRIME, CJ Hobgood gets 6500 pts. What kind of f'd up system is that? Over double the points just because it is "PRIME". If the prize money is the same then how can there be that big of a disparity in distributed points? The guys that finished equal 3rd at the HangLoose got more pts than Heitor did for winning the Maresia. That is fvcked.

Besides that fact is the underlying issue that the whole system is flawed for awarding points based on prize purse rather than performance/difficulty of the wave. For winning a 5* in macking pipe, Jamie O'Brien gets 2000 pts. I know ASP surfers are supposed to excel in all conditions but it would only seem logical that dominating at one of the premier waves in the world should be rewarded more handsomely than a shit Brazil beach break.

Sorry for the rant. Just noticed the updated ranking points and had to express how corrupt it all is.
